Preschool and Pre-K Program

Our Preschool and Pre-K Program has half and full day options. Our preschool classroom is our Busy Bees room and our Pre-K is the Sea Buddies classroom. We follow a daily schedule that has an Am and Pm snack time and a Lunch time. We also have two outdoor times one in the morning and one in the afternoon. We offer a two hour nap time for children who require a nap. We also have free play time during nap time for children who do not nap. Our Preschool and Pre-K children learn the alphabet, shapes, colors, numbers, seasons, weather, the calendar, the months of the year, the days of the week, sight words, etc. They also learn how to write their name and begin to learn how to write. Each child has their own journal which they write in everyday. In the morning we do various learning activities in two different groups with one teacher in each group. Throughout our day we also have free play for the children where they can play in centers which are dramatic play, block center, library center, sensory bins and art/science centers. Our dramatic play is changed monthly to give children different learning experiences. We also do an Art project everyday with the children based on the theme of the week which is changed weekly. We teach the children social and emotional skills while playing and learning with others. We believe in teaching children basic learning skills such as putting their own jackets, shoes, hats, mittens on as well as learning how to clean up after themselves during eating times and toys. No matter what your child needs, each of our programs will provide the support and tools necessary for optimal growth.
